Zen Meditation at Denchuji Temple was established in 1628. It is a temple with a deep connection to the Soto school's head temple, Eiheiji, in Fukui.

The monks provide direct instruction in English. Chair zazen is available. It is a private Zazen experience.

If you ask various questions about geishas through an interpreter, you will become quite knowledgeable about them. Having a relaxed conversation with a geisha is a very enriching experience.

Wood joinery, a traditional Japanese method, is said to have been used since the Asuka period (592–710).

​

Most of the wood joinery can be physically touched, assembled, and disassembled at the " Kigumi Museum." Handling the joinery firsthand will surprise you with its complexity and precision.
