- This tour is not private. - Group size: 1-50 people. Would you like to experience dyeing at a long-established workshop founded in 1882? Dyeing Experience for Tote Bags ① Choose a pattern and its colors Choose from 12 floral patterns and raccoon patterns. The colors available are white, silver and gold. ② Experience begins Place a pattern template on the tote bag and apply glue to create the pattern using a spatula in one direction. ③ Drying & Factory Tour You can tour the workshop while the glue dries. An artisan will guide you. ④ Watch a video Watch a video of the kimono dyeing process. ⑤ Receive your dyed tote bag Receive the tote bag you dyed to conclude the experience. The dyeing experience uses only one color, so it takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. However, during the drying time, there is a guided tour of the historic workshop. This tour, led by the artisan, is a rare and valuable experience. Included: - Dyeing experience under the guidance of an artisan (creating an Edo Komon Tote Bag) - One Tote Bag created by the customer - English-speaking local guide - Flexible tour planning in English Note: Transportation can be arranged at an additional cost. Not Included: - Food and beverage expenses - Transportation costs The meeting place will be decided upon consultation with the customer. Hotel pickup is also available for an additional fee. Insurance is included, and our guides are dedicated to ensuring your safety and a comfortable tour experience.


Cancellation Policy

Date of cancellation request received by us 8 or more days prior to the Experience Tour: No charge 2 to 7 days prior to the Experience Tour: 50% cancellation charge of the total cost 1 day prior and on the day to the Experience Tour: 100% cancellation charge of the total cost No show or after the commencement of the Experience Tour: 100% of the total cost In the event of a cancellation request, any refund will be remitted to your bank account after deducting the fees: cancellation charges as applicable and bank handling/wire transfer charges. It will likely take about 3-4 weeks to process under normal circumstances. The date and time of cancellation are based on Japan Standard Time only when a notice is received by EDO KAGURA Corporation, regardless of when the customer sent the notice.
