Become a Japanese Food Connoisseur

By the end of the class, you’ll not only know how to prepare a traditional Washoku meal but also have mastered the basics of Japanese dining etiquette.

Experience the Authentic Washoku (Japanese Food) Class in the Heart of Tokyo at Chawa Masudaya, founded in 1930.

What Makes This Class Special?

Our Washoku Cooking Class takes place in the former kitchen of a Kaiseki restaurant at Chawa Masudaya in Okubo, Shinjuku Ward. Emiko Masuda, a highly qualified instructor, speaks English, which is a major bonus for international participants.

This isn’t just a class where you follow a recipe—it’s a comprehensive journey into Japanese food culture, cooking techniques, and dining etiquette.

What You’ll Learn and Create
