The Kagurazaka Street Stage O-edo Tour 2025, a traditional Japanese performing arts festival in Tokyo that transforms the entire Kagurazaka district into a stage, has been officially announced for May 17 (Saturday) and May 18 (Sunday), 2025. This event is organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture (Arts Council Tokyo) and the NPO Ikimachi Club, in cooperation with the local Kagurazaka community.
Now in its 13th year, this festival offers a rare opportunity to experience Japan’s traditional arts and culture in an authentic setting.

Kagurazaka – A Unique Fusion of Edo-Era Charm and International Culture
Kagurazaka is one of the few districts in Tokyo where the historic geisha culture still thrives. With its cobblestone alleys, traditional teahouses, and historic shrines and temples, the area preserves the elegant atmosphere of Edo-period Japan.
At the same time, Kagurazaka is also known as "Petit Paris" due to its strong French cultural influence, creating a unique blend of Japanese tradition and international charm.
