Bringing Japanese Culture to the World at the Luxury Travel Networking Event
On January 21, 2025, we participated in the "6th Domestic Networking Event for High-Value Tourism Professionals (Luxury Travel Networking Event)" hosted by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). This event brings together suppliers such as local governments, DMOs, and accommodation/tourism businesses from across Japan with domestic DMCs (Destination Management Companies) specializing in arranging luxury inbound travel.
"High-value travelers" refer to international visitors to Japan who spend over 1 million yen per person during their stay. This networking event is a critical opportunity to promote luxury inbound travel by connecting suppliers with these travelers through DMCs.
Expanding Opportunities Through Discussions with Domestic DMCs
During the event, we had the opportunity to hold discussions with 10 domestic DMCs. Many participants expressed surprise and delight, saying, "I didn’t know such incredible traditional cultural experiences were available right in the heart of Tokyo!"
Some of the most popular experiences discussed included:
Geisha experiences
Samurai experiences
Zen meditation
Dyeing workshops
Ukiyo-e creation workshops
Tofu-making classes
Washoku (Traditional Japanese Food) cooking classes
Despite our company being established less than 10 months ago, we were deeply honored to be invited to participate in this event by JNTO. The positive feedback from domestic DMCs, who have long been involved in luxury travel, was incredibly encouraging and motivated us to continue sharing authentic Japanese cultural experiences with more travelers.
