New All-Inclusive Izakaya Hopping Experience in Kagurazaka, Shinjuku – No Hidden Costs!
We have added a new all-inclusive option to our popular izakaya (bar) hopping tours, which now include both food and drinks in Kagurazaka, Shinjuku. The tours take place in Kagurazaka, located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, an area famous for its approximately 500 restaurants, making it one of Japan's premier gourmet towns. The restaurants here vary greatly in price, from affordable spots to more expensive options.
Having so many choices is great for catering to different budgets, but for those visiting a particular izakaya for the first time, there may be some concern about how much the final bill will be. To alleviate this worry, we now offer an all-inclusive package at ¥18,000 per person, which covers both food and drink.
Experience Kagurazaka’s Best Izakayas with Our All-Inclusive Plan, Plus Engaging Conversations with Local Guides
With this plan, you can order up to six drinks and six food items, each priced at up to ¥1,000. Additionally, an English-speaking guide will accompany you throughout the experience. Even in izakayas with only Japanese menus, the guide will assist you in ordering with ease. If a single drink or dish exceeds ¥1,000, you can still enjoy up to ¥6,000 worth of food and drinks. For example, if a drink at a bar costs ¥1,500, it will cover up to four drinks. Any amount exceeding the limit will be charged separately. Moreover, while enjoying your meal, you can also learn about Japanese culture and daily life through conversations with your guide.
Guests who have joined our izakaya hopping tours so far have been highly satisfied with the delicious food Kagurazaka has to offer and have thoroughly enjoyed the engaging conversations with our guides. This has led to consistently top-rated feedback after each tour.
Kagurazaka's Culinary Secrets: A Gourmet Hub Hidden from the Tourist Trail
As the photos attached to this blog show, the food at Kagurazaka’s izakayas is exceptional, attracting food lovers from all over Tokyo. However, despite being a gourmet destination, Kagurazaka is not well-known among foreign tourists, meaning that the izakayas are typically filled with locals.
Why Kagurazaka Tops Tokyo's Gourmet Scene, Yet Remains a Secret to Foreign Visitors
According to a survey by the Japan Tourism Agency, the number one reason foreign visitors come to Japan is to enjoy Japanese cuisine, and this holds true every year. This shows that foreign travelers are constantly on the lookout for delicious meals.
Kagurazaka has the highest percentage of Michelin Guide-listed restaurants among Tabelog (One of Japan's largest gourmet review websites) entries in Tokyo, at 2.0%, compared to Ginza’s 1.4%. The Tokyo average is 0.4%, making it clear that Kagurazaka is one of Tokyo’s top gourmet areas. It’s truly a shame that such a gourmet destination remains relatively unknown to foreign tourists.
All-Inclusive Izakaya Hopping in Shinjuku: The Ultimate Kagurazaka Night Out with Local Flavor
With this new all-inclusive plan, you can enjoy a worry-free dining experience at carefully selected izakayas, chosen based on my 25 years of living in Kagurazaka. You’ll savor delicious food while engaging in conversation with an English-speaking guide. Since there are few foreign tourists here, there’s even a chance you might strike up a conversation with local Japanese diners sitting nearby. These kinds of interactions with locals are one of the true joys of travel abroad, don’t you think?
Kagurazaka also boasts around 100 bars, including the highly acclaimed Sanlucar Bar, which is ranked Tokyo’s number-one bar on Tabelog. Although it’s usually crowded, I know the quieter times to visit, and I can take you there. Moreover, Kagurazaka is home to four bars run by geisha, meaning geisha bar hopping is also possible. Imagine enjoying the finest izakayas and bars without worrying about the cost – it sounds like the perfect evening, doesn’t it? I encourage you to try our new all-inclusive izakaya hopping service.
