Meet the Tofu Meister Behind Kagurazaka’s Last Traditional Tofu Shop
The Tofu Workshop is led by Kai Moriyama, an employee of "Katsuno Tofu," the only remaining traditional tofu shop in Kagurazaka, Shinjuku, Tokyo. Founded in 1942, the shop has been supplying tofu and Atsuage (deep-fried tofu) to high-end Japanese restaurants for many years. Kai Moriyama is a certified Tofu Meister.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to make tofu directly from Kai. Using high-quality soybeans, you’ll be amazed at how delicious the tofu you make yourself can be. Location: Katsuno Tofu, near Iidabashi Station
Price: 60,000 yen for a private group of up to 6 people
Age Requirement: 6 years and above
Booking Period: Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance
Accessibility: Unfortunately, wheelchairs are not permitted due to stairs inside the classroom.
